The method

Traditional and Olympic, one standard

The TC Taekwondo method, led by Master Castillo, balances the formative values of the traditional side with the physical and tactical demands of Olympic taekwondo, under the World Taekwondo and Kukkiwon system.

01

Traditional Taekwondo

Oriented toward character development, overall health and self-defense. For students of every age.

  • Programmed forms instruction (Poomsae)Repetitive and analytical methods to refine stances, blocks and basic strikes. Builds motor coordination, muscle memory, balance and correct breathing.
  • Character and valuesThe five tenets of taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. Strict discipline and mutual respect govern every session.
  • Self-defensePrecision, focus and body alignment applied to real situations. Trains a measured response and personal safety.

02

Olympic Taekwondo

Built for competitive and high-performance athletes. Speed, conditioning and fight strategy (Kyorugi).

  • Elite camps and alliancesTeaching is complemented by high-level competitive camps, including those run alongside coaches of Olympic standing.
  • Active methods and problem solvingRather than only repeating, competitors are taught to read the fight. Real competitive stress is recreated so athletes decide fast under technical and time pressure.
  • Modern fight mechanicsIsolated dynamic kicking work focused on hip elevation, extension and fast recovery, plus advanced footwork. Maximizes reach and adapts to modern Kyorugi technique.

No Excuses. Just Training.

The program arriving in Guatemala earned international, national, state and local medals with the Miami location.

What comes with the opening

A method, not a routine

Taekwondo works when there is structure. Every class has an objective, every cycle has an evaluation, and every student knows exactly what stands between them and the next belt. That system is what gets replicated in Guatemala.

  • 01

    Measurable progress

Written criteria, evaluated each cycle. Students and families see the progress instead of assuming it.

  • 02

    Grouped by age and level

A six-year-old does not train alongside a thirty-year-old. Groups are built around developmental stage, not just belt color. With one exception: a parent who wants to train beside their child can. Family participation is encouraged.

  • 03

    Traditional and Olympic

Poomsae and forms on one side, Olympic-rules sparring on the other. No need to choose: the curriculum covers both.

  • 04

    Competition as the goal

We are a Kyorugi competition school. The team is the axis of the method: building athletes and competitive people, in and out of the dojang.
